About Us

CMI Motif

Welcome to the Chamber Music Institute, a two week music festival for students of all ages. Now celebrating our eleventh year, CMI focuses on teaching and performing chamber music. Our festival offers students the unique opportunity to study with experienced chamber musicians, learn new music, and most importantly learn from playing with each other! Students will take on a variety of roles within chamber groups, and grow their abilities as musicians. Students will also have the opportunity to perform alongside our CMI Guest Soloist in an orchestra performance and take part in the Solo Festival Competition.

For our eleventh year, we are returning to Castleton University! Tucked between the picturesque lakes and mountains of Vermont, students will mix recreation and fun with serious musical studies.

Register now to secure your spot at this summer's festival! This year's repertoire will be sent to you soon after you register. Please contact us if you have any questions. We will be happy to talk to you!
